TV Networks Wars: ABS-CBN vs GMA, What’s your point?
I’m quite an avid viewer of ABS-CBN. I watch almost all of the sinserye of the network. Well, GMA is also a popular channel in the philippines but I rarely watch there programs not because I don’t like the network but because even before at in childhood, I am already a viewer of the network.
In comparison, both networks are popular and have been competing for so many years. Each of the networks has almost the same kind of programs within a designated slot and has almost the same strategies of entertaining.
However, most of the soap operas in ABS-CBN are about dramas while on the other side are adventures. Also, some of the GMA’s talents were transfering to the other network. ABS-CBN’s noontime show, "Wowowee", has been a very appealing program to the mass while GMA’s noontime show, "Eat Bulaga", was said to be a show for the class A’s.
But I think its just a matter of what the networks really want to show the viewers.
